I’m in the Tweakments Guide!
Happy New Year, everybody!
I thought I’d start the year with a small, but exciting announcement. I’ve recently been added to The Tweakments Guide, a carefully curated platform that helps patients find trusted, ethical practitioners within the aesthetics industry. It’s something I’m really proud of. Not so much as a personal achievement, but because of what it represents in terms of patient care, clinical standards, and my ongoing commitment to a skin first approach to your treatments.
So, what is the Tweakments Guide?
The Tweakments Guide was created by Alice Hart-Davis as an educational platform with huge amounts of information on everything from individual treatments, skincare, brands and more as well as being a curated list of practitioners that in her own words, she would trust with her own face.
The curated nature of The Tweakments Guide is something that’s really important to me. There are so many practitioner directories out there that any practitioner can be featured on, for a fee, that it can make it hard to know things such as how long they’ve been practicing and what qualifications they hold. In an industry that is constantly being discussed in regards to safety and transparency, it’s reassuring to be able to see specialties and accreditations listed right there on the practitioner’s profile.
Why is this important?
There’s a great page on the Tweakments Guide that covers patient safety, it’s a great read, but I’ll summarise it here for you briefly, too.
Ultimately, this industry is still, as yet, unregulated. There’s no government register of qualified practitioners and everyone knows somebody who’s non-medical that has done a one day Botox course and been set upon the world to inject! And whilst it would be unfair to villainise all of these practitioners, it is most common that the horror stories in the news are usually caused by a non-medic using unlicensed products that have been bought online and not prescribed.
For a practitioner, having a profile on the Tweakments Guide means that anybody who finds it can see our qualifications, associations (such as JCCP and the NMC) and a quick-reference list of the kinds of treatments that are provided. There’s a transparency that I hope will inspire confidence in my patients, both existing and those who are yet to find me, as everything is freely available, so there’s no worries about feeling awkward if they want to ask about things like qualifications!
What does this mean for me as a patient?
For my existing patients, honestly, not an awful lot! The standards that you’re used to, when it comes to the care, treatments and advice that I provide, are the standards that led to my featuring in the Guide.
For any prospective patients who may have stumbled onto this after searching for a provider of Botox or any other aesthetics treatments in Warrington, it’s hopefully a bit of reassurance that you’re in the right place. You may even have found me through the guide and are just looking to learn some more about me. Whatever the case, however you’ve ended up here, you can hopefully take away some confidence that I’m here to give you the best possible, natural results without any unnecessary treatments as well as making sure that everyone that comes through my doors is given the information they need to make sure that their skin is skinning!
If you’d like to book a consultation, you can do so through the link at the top of the page or clicking here to view my availability and schedule your appointment!
That’s it for now, I hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Let’s make 2026 the year of glowing skin!
